As a trades-related student, you can create your first professional portfolio with a profile on Tradesconnect.
Enter information about what trade you’re studying and earn positive reviews through work experience. It’s a great way to begin your trade career.
View and apply for work experience and jobs
You can view work experience opportunities and paid roles on the platform. TradesConnect allows your assigned mentor to make contact with potential employers, ensuring the right match and creating a secure link. (Your mentor will be assigned by your college.) Mentors will post suitable opportunities to your feed, giving you the chance to review and choose.
Chat with other students and Lectures
Through groups on the TradesConnect platform, you can communicate directly with other students and with mentors – a great way of sharing information and advice about the platform and your intended industry.
Familiarise yourself with real tradespeople
The Tradesconnect platform gives you access to various aspects of life as a tradesperson, whilst ensuring you’re safe online. You can see business information as well as the types of experience and tools relevant for the industry area you’d like to work within.

You can view events, classified adverts and the general trade newsfeed. As a student, you can apply for roles that you see advertised on the platform, but employers will need to communicate with you through your Lecturer TradesConnect is designed to support you in taking your first steps as a trades professional.
